And a fine time was had by most!
What a treat to read a few poems in one of the epicenters of American poetry, with Bill Taylor, Jr. and a few more of the city’s finest — and at Specs, one of the best bars in San Francisco. Pretty darn great!
And then to bum around the bay: from cocktails on a cliffhouse patio while listening to tunes plunked out on a grand piano as the sun sets and a little bat friend flits by through to caviar on the waterfront, tacos beside Lake Merritt, Waymos, a Redwood hike and Muir Beach to fine meals at Scoma’s and R&G Lounge, to SF MoMA and cable cars, and the Japanese Tea Garden — a sunburn at Alcatraz and even a San Leandro earthquake thrown in for good measure! Yep, I loves me some adventure!
