A panelist, you say?! “Well what do ya know about that, Bert!”
I’m jazzed to be a part of the panel on poetry where I hope to extol to virtues of the small press and DIY self-publishing a bit! As ever, I see it as a necessary option in a corporate/conglomerate world that values products over the art (and the humans) behind them.
Any-who…If you’re in Albuquerque on Halloween, I’ll be there most of the day — checking out panels and hocking my humble wares…so pop on by and say, “hey.” I’ll be the guy dressed as a wry, brooding “drunk poet…”
This Weekend...

If you’re anywhere nearby, pop on in for my first-ever Santa Fe area event!
There will be readings and typewriters and poetic fun from a couple of fellow poets — and of course I’m bringing the DrunkSkull Sidewalk Cinema to show off some project-specific multimedia and celebrates just a little of what I adore about the small press! I’ll also have copies of at least a few books — and I’m happy to scribble a little something in it if you’d like!
And the space itself is filled with local art of all kinds, with a particular focus on recycled artwork — inventive reconfigurations of things abandoned or ignored — made new and gorgeous once more! If you’re after something unique and one-of-a-kind, well you’d be hard-pressed to find a better spot to shop! Here’s to hoping you pop in for something a little different in the City Different!
