Pasatiempo...

For you arts and culture heads out there, you’ll probably know how big of a deal this feels like to me. How many amazing things have appeared in Pasatiempo over the years? Is it even possible to count? I don’t know what my most illustrious article or bit of coverage has ever been — but this certainly must be right up there among the contenders!

I’m pleased as all get-out to be part of the most recent issue, and I’m honored that some more folks might learn about Psalms From The Badlands. As a one-horse nobody here in small-press-ville, every thing out of the ordinary that happens feels like a miracle. So my heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

In other news — you might notice some changes around the HQ. I’ve been busy tinkering. Click below for a brand new way to enjoy the video broadsides for PSALMS…so if you have a few minutes, why not spend them with some high-desert moments of Zen?

WATCH The ENTIRE 3-Minute Film Festival!

The Santa Fe Reporter has put together a video of the entire 3-Minute Film Festival, for your viewing pleasure! One of the THIRST animated drunk poems finished third, and you can see it, and all the other films here!

As always, we’re working on more here at the HQ, so keep your eyes peeled. If you want to watch more animated drunk poems, here’s how:

Willy Vlautin's Little Joe [a Short Film]

Somehow this gem slipped past me, so I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen to you! A great short story, set to some sweeping Western landscapes — it’s classic Willy, and something all short story writers should be doing!

Hopefully I’ll get my act together and eventually do something like this too. Until then, grab a beer and 23 minutes or so to enjoy it.
