If you were hoping to catch Sunday’s event, but the vagaries of this modern life simply conspired to keep you from it,..well, here at the HQ we’ve got you covered!
Here’s a link to watch at your leisure! I race through a handful of the Psalms From The Badlands, so as to keep things ticking along at a decent clip. Honestly, I probably should’ve read a few more…but, hey, I gotta save some for later, right?
Also wanted to send a thank you to Emi and Brian McGettrick who stayed up late (on a school night even!) to tune in from out UK way, to Scot Young (who was not as far afield, but still made the effort) and, of course, my sweet Bacon Lady! I can’t say I’m used to or comfortable with readings yet, but seeing some familiar faces in the virtual crowd is always a big relief — and your thoughtful kindness deserves notice!
So thanks again!
Sunday Salon Chicago -- REGISTRATION INFO!!!
One SMOL Step for the Small Press...
The Eagle has landed! Starting today, DrunkSkull Books is proud to take part, once again, in the SMOL FAIR — a truly independent, free-to-all book fair that puts small presses on display for all to discover. The are so many places, reading, and events to check out, that you probably can’t see them all — but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying all you can!
To celebrate, here at the HQ we’re doing a couple things:
1) As you may have seen from that annoying pop-up (I know, I know, but hear me out!) we’re giving away free digital stuff. And it ain’t nothing to slouch at either! You can get a free copy of the CICADA ebook (over at Smashwords) or you can get a free download code for the A DEEP & GORGEOUS THIRST - UNABRIDGED AUDIO (at Author’s Direct). That’s just for stopping by (while the digital supplies last)!
2) We’re offering a sale here at our own store. Just enter the code 20SMOL$AVINGS at checkout to receive 20% off your order. So it’s a great time to Cath up on any titles you might be missing (some of which are very near selling out).
3) Lastly, we’re hosting a DRUNK POEM ANIMATION WATCH PARTY to wrap up the SMOL festivities, on (DATE!). We’ll look at our most recent animation from start to finish (that’s storyboards to finished claymation), talk a bit about the DrunkSkull Philosophy of making stuff in the hopes that others might be inspired too, and close with as many animations as we can squeeze in between chats and questions. It should be a quick half-hour, and we’d love to see you there if your schedule allows.
