If you’re anywhere nearby, pop on in for my first-ever Santa Fe area event!
There will be readings and typewriters and poetic fun from a couple of fellow poets — and of course I’m bringing the DrunkSkull Sidewalk Cinema to show off some project-specific multimedia and celebrates just a little of what I adore about the small press! I’ll also have copies of at least a few books — and I’m happy to scribble a little something in it if you’d like!
And the space itself is filled with local art of all kinds, with a particular focus on recycled artwork — inventive reconfigurations of things abandoned or ignored — made new and gorgeous once more! If you’re after something unique and one-of-a-kind, well you’d be hard-pressed to find a better spot to shop! Here’s to hoping you pop in for something a little different in the City Different!
Psalms From The Badlands Review by Allyson Whipple
Things are heating up!
I’m in the homestretch of making books; events and interviews are happening soon; and the book itself is already enjoying some nice, warm light!
Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Allyson Whipple] had to say! Allyson sees loads of haiku and short form as part of Frogpond, so — hey — that makes this review, and the time she took to write it, feel really special. I think this book might end up surprising folks…including me!
Please Do Drop In...
Over at THE DEWDROP, they’ve been nice enough to feature a micro-gallery of some of the Psalms art and let me pontificate about the process a bit. So if you’re curious about the how and the why of the forthcoming Psalms From The Badlands, pop on over and give it a quick read!
I’m still making the books, in particular trying to figure out how to make some decent linocuts…so I don’t have any fancy finished pictures to share…but here’s a glimpse at the special edition — to wet the proverbial whistle! As ever, watch for my newsletter/mailing list for the pre-sale announcement.
