“Drunk” Poems from A Deep and Gorgeous Thirst — brought to life by animators, illustrators, and narrators from around the world.

146 drunk poems. 37 voices. A collection that is, on the surface, about booze and bars and drinking — and underneath, about being human: the heartbreak, the joy, the horror of all that. This years-long project and these animations are the logical next step — taking poems that already lived and breathed on the page and in international voices and handing them to artists who found entirely new ways for us to experience them.

The result is less a book trailer than a small, ongoing international film festival for a single collection of small press poetry from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
